I honestly never imagined I would be writing this September update from where I am today.

As many of you now know, my husband, Rich, passed away suddenly in August after a tragic accident. There really aren’t words for the magnitude of something like this, especially when it happens without warning. My boys and I are navigating a completely new reality one we certainly couldn’t have prepared for.

And yet, even here, I am reminded that two things can be true at the same time. I can be heartbroken and still trust life. I can grieve what was and still believe in what will be.  I can have absolutely no idea what comes next and still know, somewhere deep within me, that we will be  okay.

I don’t believe trusting the journey means pretending that painful things aren’t painful. It doesn’t mean bypassing grief or forcing ourselves to find the lesson before we’re ready. For me, it means allowing myself to feel everything that is here while trusting that this transition, however difficult, can ultimately lead to profound healing, growth, and expansion for me, for my boys, and for everyone whose life has been touched by Rich’s passing.

And one of the most extraordinary things I have witnessed through all of this is the ripple effect of love.

In the midst of tremendous loss, there has been tremendous love. Friends and family have stepped forward in ways I will never forget. People have shown up, held us, fed us, cried with us, helped with my children, made phone calls, handled things I couldn’t handle, and simply sat beside me when there was nothing to say.I have watched one life touch another life, which touches another, which touches another. I have watched compassion spread through families, friendships and communities. There is something incredibly humbling about discovering how held you are when life brings you to your knees.

I wish with everything in me that the circumstances were different. But I also know how blessed I am. My boys and I are surrounded by an extraordinary community of friends and family, and I don’t think I have ever understood the power of love and human connection quite the way I do now.

I don’t know exactly what our next chapter looks like. But I trust it. Not because I know what is coming, but because I trust myself to meet it. I trust my boys. I trust the love surrounding us. And I trust that even the chapters we would never choose can become part of something meaningful, healing and expansive.

As I connect with the energies of this coming month, September feels like an invitation to come home to yourself in a deeper way, to quiet some of the noise around you and listen more closely to your own inner voice. It is time either let something EVOLVE or DISSOLVE and you will have an opportunity to have clear discernment on what needs more of your energy and what needs less.

There has been a shift. I can feel it in my own life, and I know so many of you can feel it too. Something has changed, and with that change comes the potential for greater love, deeper connection, and a more authentic relationship with ourselves and one another.

September asks us to open our hearts, not only in how we love and care for others, but in how we love and care for ourselves. Pay attention to the way you speak to yourself. The grace you give yourself. The compassion you offer yourself when life doesn’t look the way you thought it would. There is something powerful about meeting yourself with love instead of judgment, and I believe the Universe has a magical way of reflecting that love back to us.

The world may continue to shake around us. Things may feel uncertain, intense, or even chaotic at times. But our work isn’t necessarily to stop the shaking. Our work is to become more deeply rooted in ourselves while it happens.

Much of what I am seeing, and what I am personally being asked to live right now is TRUST on a level I have never known before. We are in true turning point energy. Can you trust even when you don’t know what happens next? Can you trust when the path you thought you were walking suddenly changes? Can you trust that somehow eventually all that occurs will turn into something here for you?

Not because everything that happens is good. Not because pain isn’t real. But because even the darkest experiences can become part of our awakening when we allow ourselves to move through them rather than become trapped inside them.

The dark has been getting darker, and the light continues to get lighter. Don’t run from the darkness. Face what is asking to be seen and surrender it to the light within you. Because we cannot heal what we are unwilling to see.

September carries the energy of release and deeper awakening. Every person will be touched by this transition in one way or another. Some changes may be enormous. Others may simply be a realization that something you’ve been carrying no longer belongs to you.

So ask yourself:

What am I holding onto that belongs to the life behind me?

Maybe it’s a habit. A relationship. A job. A career choice. An identity. A belief about yourself. A way you’ve learned to survive that you no longer need.

And then ask:

What belongs to the life ahead of me?

I believe many of us have reached a threshold where we can finally begin to tell the difference.

First, we must DISCERN then RELEASE then BUILD and finally EXPAND into the truest version of ourselves. We don’t have to know exactly what the new life looks like yet. Sometimes our only job is to release what we know we cannot carry forward and become receptive enough to allow something new to find us.

There is deep change happening, friends. But there is also tremendous potential here.

Open your heart. Listen to yourself. Let yourself receive love, support and peace in whatever forms they arrive.

And above all, trust. Trust yourself. Trust your inner knowing. Trust that you are being held through the unknown. Sometimes we don’t get to see the whole road ahead. We just have to trust ourselves enough to take the next step.

Steve & Nadia Save the World

And in one of life’s stranger examples of timing, Steve & Nadia Save the World launched just as my own world changed completely.

Steve and I created this podcast around a very simple idea: if we want to change the world, we have to start with our own inner world.

We talk about moving from fear to love, recognizing what’s driving us, learning to trust our own inner guidance, developing discernment, and consciously choosing the direction we want our lives to go.

I could never have known when we recorded these first episodes how immediately I would be called to practice so much of what we were talking about.

These aren’t concepts to me right now. They’re tools I’m actually using.

I’m using the Two Rooms when fear wants to take over. I’m practicing discernment between what I know and the stories my mind can create. I’m listening deeply to my intuition. And I’m continually asking myself what matters now and what kind of life I want to consciously create for myself and my boys from here.

That doesn’t mean I do it perfectly. Not even close. It means I have somewhere inside myself to return to.

So rather than give you a big sales pitch for the podcast, I’ll simply say this: if these conversations resonate with the work we’ve been doing together through these updates over the years, I think you’ll really enjoy it.

And maybe the timing isn’t strange at all.

Maybe this is exactly when I’m supposed to be talking about what it means to consciously choose how we meet our lives, even when life hands us something we never would have chosen ourselves.

The world changes when people do.

And right now, I’m living that in a way I never expected.

With Love,

Nadia
